Lefkada Island

A guide to Lefkada Island by Ionian Horizon Villas

Lefkada is the 4rth of the seven islands that comprise the Ionian island complex in the Ionian Sea, on the west side of Greece. It is separated from the mainland by a thin strip of sea, and a 50m long pontoon makes it easily accessible by car, with no need to board on a ferry. In fact, it is one of just two islands in the entire region of Greece that can boast such a convenience, a bridge connection to the mainland. Lefkada is famous for its moderate climate, its exotic beaches and landscapes of immense beauty, while it is considered one of the top destinations worldwide for windsurfing, kite surfing and other activities.
